Luxury at its Best in Venice-Hotel Principe

Walking the streets of Venice, Italy is unlike any other experience I have ever had. It is like a movie set, with the amazing cathedrals, small alleys, beautiful shops, lively squares and of course the canal running through middle with gondolas and boats aplenty. We stayed in Venice at the Hotel Principe in the Cannaregio district, about a 15 minute walk from St. Marks Square. The hotel offers all the elegance and formality of the more famous hotels in the St Marks area, including a private dock and views of the Grand Canal. We were concerned that the distance from St. Marks might be a problem, but found that we loved the area, and had no trouble walking or traveling by water taxi conveniently from the back of the hotel. This hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for elegance at a reasonable price in one of Europe’s most amazing cities.

How did my baby get so big!! I can’t believe she is starting 1st grade. I am excited for her, it will be a great year. It is just hard to let go of summer and embrace the fall! She is all ready to go, and looking cute too:)

Have you been to C Wonder? It is a great store that recently opened in the mall near me. They have a great selection of bags, jewelry clothes and shoes. Prices are pretty reasonable compared to other designer stores and the items are super cute! I could seriously buy just about anything in there…Love, Love, Love!

So….school is just around the corner…I can’t believe it! Where did summer go! I had to face it and do a little back to school shopping. I found some great finds at Crew Cuts. My daughter likes to dress up and the sparkle on the clothes and the fun styles at Crew Cuts are right up her ally.

Great Stay at The Warwick Hotel, NYC

Recently I spent a night at the Warwick Hotel, located at 65 W 54th St. NYC. It is a beautiful hotel and centrally located near many of New York’s best attractions. It is close to the theater district and a block away from the Museum of Modern Art (moma).

As we pulled up in front of the hotel we were immediately greeted by an attentive doorman and our luggage was quickly brought inside for us to ease the check-in process. The staff was accommodating and we were given a beautiful room on the 6th floor of the hotel. The rooms were elegantly decorated and the bathrooms were modern and very clean. The hotel also offers amenities such as a fitness center and valet parking.

It was a great hotel and I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel in the midtown area. Book your stay by visiting the hotel website at

Wow! This has been needed for a LONG time! The Container Store is having its grand opening in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza on Saturday, August 11th at 9am. If you have never been to a Container Store then get ready to find a new favorite spot. They have solutions to all your household and office needs. From closet organizers, kitchen accessories, office supplies and organizers, things for the kids playroom, gift wrapping, I could go on and on! One of my favorites….tons of different size containers for shoes and boots!! This store has it all and a wonderful staff to help with all your questions and needs. The company prides itself in hiring staff that have knowledge and experience, and provides extensive training for their employees to provide excellent customer service.

You would think all this personal treatment and one on one service would come at a high price, right? Wrong! Their prices are on par with any of their competitors and their quality of products are superior. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer questions or help design your new custom closet!
